A wonderful time at Riu Jalisco Riviera Nayarit Vallarta
|We decided to take a trip to Puerto Vallarta. Our 14-year-old son came with us. I was worried there may not be enough to keep him busy but there was. Our travel agent booked us with an All Inclusive with Riu Jalisco Hotel in Riviera Nayarit.
The hotel was very impressive. Upon entering the staff was very friendly and attentive. Our room was nothing fancy but very clean and had what we needed. I do recommend a room that faces the middle courtyard. It really is spectacular and from the balcony, where you can see the ocean.
There are 5 restaurants to choose from Asian, Mexican, Italian, Steakhouse (where you need reservations), and the daily morning and supper buffet. We stuck with the buffets for breakfast and dinner. Closer to the beach there is 2 adult pools with swim up bar and one children’s pool. There are a gym and spa along with hot tub and steam room. I had planned to use but got too busy.
No shortage of activities especially for kids. A room with table tennis, shuffleboard where kids could hang out or play some outside sports such as beach volleyball, windsurfing, body board and snorkel. There was an outdoor and indoor entertainment stage. Always programs going on to get involved in.
All in all, we were very impressed with Riu Hotels. It was the first time and I definitely would book with them again. We met some great people, some with kids which was nice because they went out together. which felt very safe within the complex. After talking with a few repeat guests who informed me of a membership Reward and Loyalty program, they offer by collecting points. It’s free to join.

Mexico is a great place to visit. So many places to explore. Choose from one of many excursions, or just sit by the beach and take in all the hotel has to offer. There really is no reasons to leave, as it really has it all from shopping to meeting locals vendors on the beach. You can get some great deals, Yes, almost free.lol. Common selling saying among the locals. You will see mom’s Dad’s and even children selling clothing, jewelry, and food. We tried the shrimp, although I love shrimp. I did not care for it, as it was shelled shrimp and removing the shells proved difficult as it was cooked on the stick. The beach store had much of what you could find in town.
