Home remedy removes stains in 4 simple steps
|Do home remedies for stain removal actually work?
My son’s friend had a nosebleed the other day in his sleep fortunately, it was nothing serious. Second thought was Oh No! a pillow case is ruined. In 4 simple steps, this home remedy stain removal worked like a charm.
What I did next was plain stupid. Out of panic, I rushed to put it in the wash, not realizing the stain has set through the night. Washed and dried. Yes, pretty silly putting it in the dryer without checking stain. All it did was fade the stain. I went and bought some stain remover. Absolutely no change at all.
I am usually the first to try a homemade remedy before rushing out and buy a chemical blend product. For stains in the past, I would use baking soda, dawn dish soap and hydrogen peroxide but not on blood. I decided to give it a shot.
Here is how this home remedy removes stain in 4 simple steps
Before your eyes, the stain disappears.
- Pour on the desired amount of hydrogen peroxide.
- Add baking soda.
- Squeeze some dawn dish soap. ( it seems that dawn works best)
- Sprinkle a few drops of water to a scrub brush and scrub stain for 1 min. Let sit for 15-20 min. Scrub again and watch the stain disappear before your eyes. Wash /dry as usual. Wa La!!
As a result, I was amazed that it worked and the pillow case was saved. Consequently, I decided to try it o the pillow but did not have the same result. Not sure why?
In conclusion:
Before running out to buy a high priced stain product I would recommend using this method first. I have used it on other stains in the past such as wine, oil,and food stains with good results. The blood stains on the pillow only faded, as to why is a guess. Learn more about stains.
