Eat Avocado Seed for Glowing Skin

Febuary 010Yes, This is true. We all know the powers of the avocado, but did you know 70% of the total antioxidants lie within the avocado seed?  Eating the avocado seed can give you healthier skin. So many new super foods you may never have thought you could eat.

Antioxidants fight free radicals, which can determine how fast you age. Antioxidants play a key role in your health.

Free Radicals significantly affect DNA which is linked to over 60 diseases.

Not only will it promote healthy skin as it contains antioxidants that can rebuild collagen and can improve the look and feel of your skin. Antioxidants prevent free radical damage, the bodies defense system of antioxidants. The soluble fiber  that the seed contains is an important part of maintaining good health. Women should get about 25 grams a day and men at least 35 to 40, but the average person gets just 15 grams a day.

The high level of Antioxidants from the seed can reduce inflammation. Inflammation is the major cause of many health issues. Chronic issues such as Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Strokes and Cancer. It is also possible that it may reduce cancer tumors.

This energy producing fiber also helps to reduce blood sugars and cut cholesterol levels and may prevent colon cancer. Reducing the risk of constipation and producing the dreaded hemorrhoids. Preparation:

Wash fruit with water and vinegar solution (approx 1/2 c vinegar to 3 c water in a spray bottle) to remove any germs that may be present from production, customer handling, and possible pesticides.Cutting into any unwashed fruit spreads bacteria by the knife slicing through it. I use this on all my fruit and veggies, especially lemons and limes and apples. Cut the avocado in half. Remove seed with a spoon. Rinse and dry (preferably 2 hrs) so it is not slippery allowing to be easier to handle when grating. You may also use the entire seed if preferred throwing it in the blender whole. I add it straight into the blender along with smoothie ingredients and blends great.
