Easy Cheesy French Onion Soup With Red Wine Recipe
|Enjoy this easy cheesy French Onion soup made with red wine, golden fried onions, with a touch of chili flakes and carrot for some extra unique flavor.
Ingredients:
- Campbell’s Beef with Red Wine Broth
- 1medium Red Onion
- 1 medium White Onion
- 1medium Yellow Onion
- 2 Green Onions
- 3-5 Cloves Garlic
- 1/2 medium Carrot
- 3 Tbsp Butter
- 1/8 tsp Chili Flakes (optional)
- Sea Salt and Pepper to taste. (Min 1/4 tsp of salt)
- 1/8 tsp Worcestershire
- Chees and Garlic Seasoned Croutons
- Sliced Mozzarella Cheese. 1-2 slices per serving
Directions:
Dice garlic, green onion, and carrot in dicer. French cut onions.
In large soup pan heat butter, add onions and diced mixture. Add salt, pepper, chili flakes, Worcestershire, and cook to golden color.
Pour in Campbell’s Beef with wine broth to soup pan with a lid and simmer for 30-40 min. Add 1 C of water or more stock if cooked down too much.
In oven-friendly bowl’s add soup, add 1/3 C croutons, top with 1-2 slices of cheese.
Broil in the oven until the cheese is golden brown.
