Decoupage Faux Stained Glass Bottle Art
|Faux Stained Glass Wine Bottle
I love the look of stained glass bottle art but painting is not my forte, so the next best thing was to make a faux finish that resembles stained glass.
Any wine bottle will do but I go for the bottles that have a nice rounded edge to them. If you don’t have wine bottles any glass jar or vase will work as well. They make great decor for your favorite flowers or just to enjoy.
You will need:
You can find all you need at your local Dollar store or shop Amazon.
- Craft glue/Elmer’s glue
- Mod Podge
- Foam brushes / Paintbrush
- Colored tissue paper
- Butterfly 3D stickers
- Jute
- Lid or dish

Instructions:
Prepare all that you need. Mix glue with a bit of water, not too runny. Apply to small sections as you go.
Brush glue over the glass, Tear off desired paper pieces and apply to the glued area. Keep adding and gluing until all glass is covered.
Let dry at least 30 min or use a hair dryer to speed the process. Once dry and has no tackiness brush on a good layer of Mod Podge. Let dry. Add decorative butterfly sticker and wrap jute using white glue.
Wa la, You now have a pretty piece of art. I love how it looks in a window sill.
