Avocado Spinach Hummis
|I love Hummus. Hummus is one of those snacks that you can play around with and add what you like to it.
Avocados and Spinach are two of my favorite go-to foods. This helps add to your daily vegetable intake. Hummus is quick and easy to prepare and offers a healthy alternative other than chips and high fat dips.
Recipe:
1 1/2 C Chick Peas
1 Avocado
3-4 Garlic cloves minced
Juice of one freshly squeezed lg lemon
Tbsp pure Coconut oil
1 Tbsp Pure Olive oil
1/8 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
3 Tbsp of water
Parsley flakes (pinch)
Cumin if desired. I personally do not like it
Salt and pepper to taste.( I prefer Cracked Pink Himalayan sea salt and Cracked Peppercorn)
Drain and rinse chickpeas. Add small amounts of chickpeas to your processor or blender. Add water to get a smooth consistency.
Blend remaining ingredients and add all together.
10% dietary fiber and protein, B vitamins and minerals.
Enjoy your hummus with a cracker, pita or flatbread of your choice. I love it with Triscuits in Sweet Potatoe & Brown Rice or Rosemary & Olive Oil.
